(trailer review) - WandaVision

(Official Trailer)

(Prepare & Extended Clip Trailers)

Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong.  When you watch shows on TV, some of these shows have, "next week on..." and this is likely to be what is happening here.  However, a big part of me seems to think that Disney/Marvel are being reactionary.

WandaVision is a huge talking point at the moment.  There are podcasts about it on ALL the forums from Clubhouse to Stereo to YouTube, the Marvel Cinematic Universe hype-train is BACK!  With that said, I have seen a few reviewers and such comment on the structure and rollout of this series.  While I think the structure was perfect from episode 1 - 4 with the first two episodes and then onto episode 3 and then 4 weekly, there has been a lot of talk of "losing fans", "losing newbies/newcomers" and if you are not a fan of the MCU or know nothing about it and you are presented with this show first, you are likely to not be interested.  To have the first THREE episode to drop and THEN onto episodes 4 and then 5 weekly would have been the preferred choice.  Dedicated fans who love the MCU and what they have done over the past 13 years with 23 movies and now a TV show dedicated and set within the same universe may drive fans away.  And with that I say, poppycock!

I will stand firm and say, you can NOT be a fan and NOT trust Marvel and the brilliance that is Kevin Feige.  Granted, there could be an argument to say that it is possible Marvel has lost it since Endgame and the momentum and spirit isn't there anymore for a Marvel TV and film medium since we have had nothing for a while.  There is an argument to be made that the BUZZ is simply not there any more due to a terrible 2020 with the pandemic and such, but if you were a fan, you would stick it out, you would wait to see how the show panned out (it's not like we have much better to do at the moment anyway due to lockdowns etc).  If you were NEW, why would you start on a TV show when there has been 13 years of film and a huge story arc leading to one of the highest grossing movies of all time, actually, according to 'Newsday.com' The biggest box office hit of all time is Avengers: Endgame with $2,797,800,564 billion (i'm not even sure how to read this figure accurately), so it makes me wonder, why would someone start with WandaVision and then throw in the towel complaining like they are not going to come back!? Make it make sense!

I could be wrong, but from this mid-season trailer alone and what is now starting to unfold in WandaVision, we are now in the second act of the "movie" and we are now cooking with gas...and this trailer tells us so!

(trailer review) - The Courier

I like Benedict Cumberbatch as an actor.  I believe he is one of those talented actors who can disappear into a role and become the character.  A bit like Johnny Depp in a 'Pirates' or any movie involving Tim Burton.  However he has reached a level of stardom that makes him stand out a bit as Benedict Cumberbatch, just a little, for me anyway.  I like that he can take side-roles and doesn't need to be the leading character and for me, this is where he can disappear and become unrecognisable because you didn't realise he was there in the first place.  An example.of this would be 1917.

As Benedict is starring in this movie, you will know it's him obviously, but he looks really good.  From starring as Doctor Strange to now a random salesman doing spy-work for the British intelligence, this guy is multifaceted and this movie looks intense.  Sure he has also played a dragon and a Demonic Demon...lol

I had no idea this movie was coming out as I never heard of it.  Upon watching the trailer, I did get some thoughts that, this guy he is playing is not going to make it home alive as they will throw him under the bus.  Or maybe he will make it through as an extraordinary take.  I don't know the history and I will not look it up in fears of spoiling the story for me, but this does look like a very interesting watch, especially as it's based on true events.

(trailer review) - Raya and the Last Dragon

These guys seems to be making more quality animation that looks so so sooo good! Granted they have years to perfect animation and technology is changing daily, but not only is this looking soo good, the story looks great too.

From what I can tell, it seems to be some kind of in-fighting between families and/or tribes and the Village Raya comes from gets taken over by the person with the short hair and Raya needs to fight to get it back.  Maybe she loses the village when she is off on her quest to find the last Dragon in wich she will use in hopes to reunite the families/clans.  Also, there is a shapeshifting dragon. Maybe I should have led with the shapeshifting part first.  But having not being the only person looking for the Dragon, I'm sure this will just make the quest more difficult.
The fighting scenes look well animated and I liked the extending whip-like sword and the con-baby is cute and adorable.  Raya has a fruit ninja moment which was cool, however, I hope it isn't too cheesy. Oh, what an amazing cast as well!

Directed by Don Hall, Carlos López Estrada and starring Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, Sandra Oh, Benedict Wong, Izaac Wang, Thalia Tran, Alan Tudyk

(trailer review) - WandaVision

(Prepare Trailer)

(Extended Clip)

(Official Trailer)

I've never seen this before, or for the most part, I've never noticed it.  But this series started 2 weeks ago and they have now dropped two more trailers.  An "Prepare" trailer AND "Extended Clip".  I believe I have seen extended clips once a movie has been out, I think, but for a TV show? Maybe I've just never really taken them onboard to only notice them now.

So at first was baffled as to why, but since the first week of airring the first two episodes, the show has become divisive.  Last week's episode, the third episode, a lot of people felt as though the first 3 episodes should have been released and I'm guessing, the reason for these two trailers, maybe, is to steer people more on track.

You see, WandaVision has a lot going on and nothing is really explained at all.  The show leaves you with more questions than answers and we are only 3 episodes in.  As you can tell from the previous trailers, it seems to be all sitcom styled with laugh tracks and such, but why? It has been well written, well acted and mostly, well crafted in such a way, ultimately it looks like a departure from what we know as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or at least, not what we are used to, so, I believe this trailer intends to provide just that bit more clarity needed for the confused viewer or those who haven't enjoyed the first two episodes and have bailed on it.

These trailers show that there is more going on, more that meets the eye.  The MCU part of the show with a familiar character from the Ant-Man films.  This trailer shows a touch more of what is going on and if the first two episodes drove people away, I hope these new trailers bring people back to stick with it.  The first act is complete now, now for the bigger reveals to happen and the show to really begin.

On Disney+ now and 4th episode out today.

Directed by Matt Shakman and starring Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings, Randall Park & Kathryn Hahn.

(trailer review) - Invincible

This was announced some time ago and I completely forgot about it until this morning.  I know nothing about it, nothing.  Maybe more than some of you reading when I say, all I know know is that it is based on a comic book AND it's a cartoon AND the person behind it is the person behind The Walking Dead TV series and the spinoffs, but that's all I know!

This First Look Clip is cool.  Just a father and his son playing catch ACROSS THE WORLD, but the father, obviously with superhuman abilities is teaching his son who has doubts about being a superhero, trying to reassure him that being a superhero, using his abilities and pushing through any doubt, he will be alright.

I'm not sure about the animation style although it does look very sharp and crisp and I liked the fade and blurred background, but I'm not fully understanding as to why this is an adult cartoon.  I didn't see the earlier teaser trailer so I'm a bit lost.  Maybe another trailer would help clear this up.

Directed by Robert Kirkman and starring Steven Yeun, J. K. Simmons

(trailer review) - Godzilla vs. Kong

First of all, I'm going to have a little issue trying to get to grips with what is happening, because I believe I'm behind on a movie or two! What is going on? I'm not 100% sure, but what I am sure about is, I'm definitely going to watch this.  Two big monsters fighting, of course!

So that everyone is clear, this movie is a part of the Monster Universe (MonsterVerse) and for the most part, features both Godzilla and King Kong.  Whilst trying to rack my brain over this, but I do believe many many moons ago, this was mention, a movie that will feature both King Kong and Godzilla.  They have been building this up.  They have been spoon-feeding us small bites over the years and it started with Godzilla back in 2014.  We then had Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and the last movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019.  I didn't see that one and I'm not sure why, but I will definitely get on board before this one arrives.  In fact, I may need to watch all 3 before this one so I fully understand what is going on.

As I have seen the first two, Godzilla and Skull Island, I will definitely say, I enjoyed them both, possibly Skull Island more as I remember there were some real funny bits in it.  I remember when I was watching Godzilla, it seemed to cut away from Godzilla, you know, what we came to see.  I'm going to be real, nobody really cares about the humans.  In films like this, they are in the movies to ground it a little, but for the most part, people want to see the monsters fight or tear things up.  I heard some things about the last movie, such as hiding the monsters or using tricks to keep the budget low on the special effects, but this trailer seems to show more fights up front.  Kong is brandishing an "axe!!!"  I mean if you look closely to the trailer, is that MechaGodzilla?  This is definitely a win, I just hope it doesn't fall short.

Directed by Adam Wingard and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, Demián Bichir

(film review) [STREAMING] - Outside the Wire

I do like myself some Anthony Mackie.  A superstar to have his own roles as a powerful leading actor, I'm not sure we are there just yet, but he has come long way since The Adjustment Bureau.  Pretty much a household name since he landed the role of Sam Wilson in Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe, so to then see him in the second season of Altered Carbon and now this, another sci-fi, I was definitely intrigued.  I didn't mind him in Altered Carbon season 2 although it was a bit of a jar to see him instead of Joel Kinnaman took some getting used to.  But how is he in this film? Well, Anthony Mackie is Anthony Mackie, but the film, not soo much.

A young Drone Pilot named Lt. Thomas Harp disobeys a direct order and is sent to Captain Leo, an Advanced Top Secret Android Prototype Military Officer.  However, when Leo takes Harp Outside the Wire on a mission to make a change to the war and he needs Harp's help to do it, Harp grows increasingly suspicious of what Leo's true motives are.

For the most part, this movie was decent.  It wasn't great and if we are talking about the level of storytelling and action like The Old Guard or Extraction, unfortunately those two films are better and more entertaining than this one, in my opinion.  Why? Well, although the story is ok at best, the dialogue wasn't great at all.  The way Harp would speak to Leo was annoying at times as it didn't seem they had a well enough built up bond for Harp to talk to Leo in the way he did.  Harp had an attitude he should't really have towards a higher ranking officer, it just felt off.  Towards the end of the film, maybe, but after a few hours, if that, after meeting him, not at all.  Also, I felt the end goal/mission was a bit mucky in it's delivery and wasn't at all clear as to what was happening and why.

The action was great and the special effects were decent.  Even the acting from Anthony was as expected, but I just couldn't really get to grips with Damson's character as I felt it was poorly written.  I understood the reasonings as to why Leo was doing what he was doing eventually, but it just felt like it was delivered poorly.  Ultimately the movie came across boring although the action kept it afloat as I loved the scenes in the building with the Russian Robots (Gumps).  I liked the other fights at the "hideout" and in the market, but if we didn't have those action scenes, the movie would be completely substandard.  I thought of The Universal Soldier whilst watching this as it goes, which is a good thing I guess, classic 80's movie.  There were some lesson's learned for Harp but ultimately, an OK movie that looks at the future of modern warfare but manages to clumsily deliver.  Although not a terrible movie, but I fell asleep twice before I watched it for the third time and Mackie wasn't the issue...

(trailer review) - Space Sweepers

I saw the thumbnail to this yesterday and I got caught up and was unable to watch the trailer.  One of my first thoughts were, "What's that third thing? that robot looking thing?" But strangely enough, having now watched the trailer, the question/statement now becomes, "Oh, so that's just normal?" and possibly followed with "...And the normal looking thing, isn't...ok!?!".

This film looks like it's going to be quite fun to watch plus the visuals in places look amazing and in other places, looks like a Netflix budget but it doesn't take away how lived it the sets look, like Guardians of the Galaxy when they are in the space prison.

When they started talking Korean (presumably since it's a Korean film), I won't lie, it did jar me a little as the trailer starts off in English, but I've watched Parasite and that film was amazing.  The trailer did remind me of the Netflix show Lost in Space a tad.  Space Station.  Explosions.  A robot.  Blah, same old same old, right? But a band of misfits who come together to save the world? I'm down for that, plus like i said, it looks really good and entertaining.  I especially liked when the little girl sneezed and everyone ducked for cover and then she did the same, that was warming and hilarious.  I'm definitely going to watch this.

Directed by Jo Sung-hee and starring Song Joong-ki, Kim Tae-ri, Jin Seon-kyu, Yoo Hae-jin

(trailer review) - Cherry

I heard about this movie a little while back and I thought to myself, "that Tom Holland is getting some work!" Rumoured to play Nathan Drake in the 'Enchanted' movie (based on a video game), also 'Chaos Walking' with Daisy Ridley and not to mention the recently released movie 'The Devil All The Time' on Netflix, he is really doing some different roles than Spider-Man and hopefully something that can show us how much of a diverse actor he is.  Strangely enough, he has been in some other films such as 'In the Heart of the Sea' among many others, but nothing as stand out as what Enchanted might be able to do for him...another franchise, is what I mean.  This trailer was nice to see.

Cherry seems to centre around a young American man who meets the love of his life and then joins the Army.  I'm guessing by the events of the movie from what is shown in the trailer, once Cherry leaves the Army, he descends into a downward spiral which involves him robbing banks for reasons unknown at present.  Maybe his girlfriend (now wife) is pregnant, maybe the army hasn't paid him enough money for living, could be many things.  As this is based on a novel of the same name and I have not read it, it would be nice to have this visualised on screen as it does look like quite a good, entertaining and captivating story and the lengths a man would go to either provide for his family or what war has done to him.

Directed by Anthony Russo, Joe, Russo and starring Tom Holland, Ciara Bravo

(trailer review) - The Equalizer

To say this trailer took me by surprise is definitely an understatement.  I was taken more about by Queen Latifah starring in something as I've not seen her in anything of recent.  I believe it might have been two days ago or a day ago when I saw the thumbnail to this.  I didn't get to watch the trailer until now and to be honest, colour me very intrigued.

For the most part, The Equalizer is a very old show from back in the day in which I believe my granddad used to watch. Some white guy, I'd need to Google it, but I remember he used to stand by his car in a black coat.  I may have even watched a few episodes, it was cool.
A few years ago, Denzel Washington was in a film of the same name and I enjoyed it.  There was a sequel, but I didn't get to watch that one as it didn't seem it had the same spark as the first one as seen in the trailers, however, this on the other hand, has a nice trailer.  I'm just hoping it's just as good.

I'll tell you something though, let this be within the same universe as the Denzel Washington film version and I'M ALL THE WAY INVOLVED.  Something like a John Wick and the rumoured 'The Continental' series.  Come on, let's have it!!!

As long as it is good of course.

Directed by Andrew Marlowe & Terri Miller and starring Queen Latifah, Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Liza Lapira, Tory Kittles & Adam Goldberg.

(trailer review) - Malcolm & Marie

I only found out about this movie a few days ago but I was unable to watch the trailer at the time.  The only thing I could remember about the trailer were the two actors, John David Washington and Zendeya.  I was hearing a little buzz about the movie so I looked for the trailer and watched it.

The film looks like it stars only two people, John David Washington and Zendeya throughout it all.  It seems very claustrophobic, intimate and centered in one place, their home on a single evening.  From the trailer, it seems they will be going head to head fighting each other regarding the truths of their relationship and where they see each other in it.  It looks like it will be very emotional evoking a lot of patterns and conversations that have tested relationships through the ages.  Let's see if they will survive the night because it could end tragically.  This film looks like the acting is as gorgeous as the film being shot in Black and White or at least this trailer.  They both produced it too, nice.  It will be an interesting watch.

Directed by and Starring Zendeya and John David Washington

(film review) [STREAMING] - Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

I'm reviewing this movie now because I only began watching this movie LAST NIGHT!!!  Yes, I know the movie came out in 2020 and days before Christmas, but I'm going to be real with you...I just wasn't ready.
Viola Davis is one amazing actor and having watched the entirety of 'How to get away with Murder' (a great show might I add), this woman has a lot of range.  But also starring the late and great Chadwick Boseman who is also in this movie, meant that, not only am I forced to watch him play this character by watching it, I am forced to watch his craftsmanship as an actor and the last movie he would ever physically act in and character portray.  Granted there are some Marvel 'What If' storylines in which he had lent his voice before passing but, to physically see him acting in all his splendour in his last film, I knew it was going to break me and I wanted to savour the moment.
But was the film any good you might ask? Yes, yes it was!

In 1927 Jim Crow era, Ma Rainey (Viola Davis) is a black successful and highly regarded Blues singer.  She is well known in the black community and is at the height of her fame.  In a world where racism is high towards black people, she understands her talent and her worth along with what she brings to the table with her singing talents.  Ma Rainey and her Jazz band turn up for rehearsals at Paramount Recording studio in Chicago where Ma's manager Irvin (Jeremy Shamos) has set up a session to record Ma Rainey's song "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom".  However on the day of recording, events unfold surrounding the band and one of their members Levee Green (Chadwick Boseman) who is an overconfident Trumpeter with a very dark past.  On this very hot day, characters are tested, banter turns to anger and with the looming presence of racism and trust ever present, this day of recording does not go as smoothly as it should have.

I will say, I didn't cry like I thought I would have.  I legit thought that seeing Chadwick performing would make me cry, but it was the 30 minute featurette which was obviously done after his passing that got me.  Hearing Denzil and Viola talk about how talented this young man was broke me and I weeped a little.  The exact reason why I didn't want to watch the movie.  That aside, literally...Ma Rainey was a very small production with a small budget which was a very well thought out and acted "stage play" of sorts.  It reminded me of 'American Son' where most of the movie takes place in one area.  Movies that do this tend to be very intimate and when done well, it works, but when executed poorly, it completely crashes and burns.  What I will say is that, this movie is carried by two completely talented actors, one of which GAINED WEIGHT for the role and NOBODY has spoken about her dedication to the craft and the other, who gave his life and soul to the performance, in which would end up being his last acting role ever, due to death.

Music, hair, wardrobe, accents, set design...everything looked amazing.  At a point I thought it was the same lady who was wardrobe designer for Black Panther (possibly due to Chadwick's involvement), but everyone looked the part.  At times I laughed because Ma Rainey depicted in this movie was a character.  She knew her worth and took no shit from anyone.  She was big (some may say butch), a mouth full of gold teeth and she wasn't scared of anybody.  She had a presence.  She had control or demanded control and structure her way.  She stood up for herself and looked out for her band members.  Levee was a character that not only carried the movie, but you could argue that this movie is more about him than any other character.  Like all the characters, we know very little about them, but the film unpacks Levee's past and ultimately sheds a light on the behaviour of the times and how Black people were treated without beating you over the head with it.  It was great to see Glynn Turman in whom I recognised from 'How to get away with Murder' and also Colman Domingo from 'Fear the Walking Dead' (not that I ever kept up with it after the first season, but I do need to go back to it).

I have heard about Chadwick's performance in the last few weeks since this Netflix movie came out and I hope he receives an award.  Not because he has died, but because his performance was outstanding.  Because he deserved an award when he was alive.  If you have not seen Spike Lee's 'Da 5 Bloods', him and Delroy Lindo will have to fight it out for Best Actor, but if he doesn't win for supporting actor in 'Da 5 Bloods', he should definitely win it for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom because he is THAT good.  Not to make this review about Chadwick Boseman and his accomplishments, but to overlook this man's talent in the 15 movies he filmed, 3 of which were biographical, 4 of which were as King T'Challa of Marvel's Cinematic Universe as the character Black Panther, in his solo movie and ensemble cast movies such as The Avengers, a role in which a lot of people know him for, this movie is just another showcase of this man's talent who was taken from us too soon and which of course, makes this movie a must watch.

(series review) [STREAMING] - Marvel Studios: Legends - "The Vision"

These short reels are 8-9 minutes of excellent footage and storytelling.

Please note: this review may have mild spoilers as this docuseries acts as a "catch-up", reminder and/or telling of a characters' inception in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until now in phase 4 collated in 8-9 minutes.

In case you haven't seen a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie before, any or a couple, this is 9 glorious minutes cleverly cut from multiple films that act as a highlight reel of a character's journey or backstory through the MCU into Phase 4.  Extremely important if you want to learn about a character before heading into DisneyPlus's WandaVision, starring The Vision and Wanda Maximoff with supporting cast.

The Vision is essentially an idea formed from various members of The Avengers.  Derived from J.A.R.V.I.S (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System) an Artificial Intelligence created by Tony Stark.  As an A.I, JARVIS helps Tony in various ways including helping him to prep and build various Iron Man suits as JARVIS was the main Central Processing Unit in charge of other systems and machinery so acted as a "hands-free" option for Tony as well as having access to the Internet and other systems especially in the field.  However when Tony decides to create an alternative A.I named Ultron to protect the world from threats with the help of Bruce Banner, Ultron becomes hostile "kills" JARVIS and escapes via the Internet.  Ultron plans on upgrading and evolving himself by creating a new indestructible synthetic body before eliminating all life on planet Earth by causing an Extinction Level Event, but before Ultron is able to insert himself into his new body, Tony inserts JARVIS into it whilst Thor awakens it after having a Vision of it becoming the tool that will help them.  The Vision is awoken.
After defeating Ultron, Vision does not take any sides when the Avengers are fighting each other, but as he is directed to watch over Wanda, the pair fall in love and run away when Wanda escapes captivity.  Some time later, Thanos and The Black Order come looking for Vision's Mind Stone, his power source, which leads to a fight that leaves Vision wounded.  In a race to save Vision's life the Avengers must fight Thanos' forces and try to safely remove the Mind Stone without killing Vision and destroy it before the Mad Titan finds him and kills him in the process or removing it, even if it means if the love of his life has to destroy the Mind Stone to keep Thanos from killing half of life in the universe.  The Vision dies twice, once at the hands of his love, second at the hands of Thanos.

These 9 minutes are a collection of clips, but if you were to get the backstory so far surrounding this character and all the events that lead up to WandaVision, you must watch Iron Man, Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers: Endgame.

This is an excellent recap for both fans and newbies alike.

WandaVision picks up after these events.

(series review) [STREAMING] - Marvel Studios: Legends - "Wanda Maximoff"

I wasn't going to do a review of this, but it is a series after all.
These short reels are 9-10 minutes of excellent footage and storytelling.

Please note: this review may have mild spoilers as this docuseries acts as a "catch-up", reminder and/or telling of a characters' inception in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until now in phase 4 collated in 9-10 minutes.

In case you haven't seen a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie before, any or a couple, this is 10 glorious minutes cleverly cut from multiple films that act as a highlight reel of a character's journey or backstory through the MCU into Phase 4.  Extremely important if you want to learn about a character before heading into DisneyPlus's WandaVision, starring Wanda Maximoff and The Vision and supporting cast.

Wanda Maximoff (also known in the comics as The Scarlet Witch) is a woman who started off in the MCU as someone who hated a particular Avenger and joined the villainous Ultron with her twin brother Pietro Maximoff in his plans of ridding the world of The Avengers.  However, having learned of Ultron's ultimate plans, they side with the Avengers but Pietro dies in the fight.  Wanda eventually meets The Vision and develops an interest in him.  With their developing relationship and Wanda working with Captain America, an incident occurs whilst on an assignment which leads to an Act coming into play leaving the Avengers torn apart and Wanda deemed a criminal and imprisoned.  Once Wanda is able to escape, she flees with The Vision and when they become under attack by Thanos and The Black Order, Wanda must do whatever she can to protect her love, even if it means killing him to save half of all living life in the universe.  Unfortunately, killing The Vision herself, not only was it undone, but Thanos killed The Vision himself and Wanda is witness to this, twice.

These 10 minutes are a collection of clips, but if you were to get the backstory so far surrounding this character and all the events that lead up to WandaVision, you must watch Iron Man, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers: Endgame.

This is an excellent recap for both fans and newbies alike.

WandaVision picks up after these events.

(trailer review) - Locked Down

I saw this pop up in my notifications and when I read the title, I can assure you, I was not pleased.  Today is the 5th January 2021.  This time last year, I was reeling from a great New Years party and prepping for my holiday mid February 2020.  There has not been a New Years party into this new year.  I haven't been able to book a holiday, so there has been no preparation for another holiday and as I was on furlough when I got back from my last holiday for several months until November, there has been a Tier system and a few more lockdowns since.  As of yesterday, we have gone into a Nationwide lockdown and I can assure you, I was NOT going to watch this trailer because, why?  Have I not been tortured enough?
After, losing my days work, in frustration (I guess), I decided to click "play" on this trailer because obviously I'm a glutton for punishment.  But this trailer, this premise, LOVED IT!

You see, I loved how the trailer started off.  It mirrored EVERYTHING we have been going through over the last 9 months - being stuck with your significant other, driving each other mad, furlough, uncertainty of jobs or what is going on with the virus and then the trailer does a complete 180.  Everything before the switch, I could definitely relate so if the trailer was going to show me more of what we have been going through, I was NOT going to watch the movie at all, but the heist gripped me! Like I said earlier, I loved it!  The fact that they seem to be barely getting on due to constantly being around each other, then decide to team up to carry out a diamond heist in the middle of a pandemic is sheer brilliance.  It's just a wonder on how we are going to get to watch it now as the UK doesn't have HBOMax.  #Yawn

Directed by Doug Liman and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ben Stiller, Stephen Merchant, Dulé Hill, Jazmyn Simon, Mark Gatiss, Mindy Kaling, Ben Kingsley & Lucy Boynton
