(trailer review) - The New Mutants

It's funny, I haven't done a single trailer review for this Movie so I guess it is only fitting to put THIS trailer up out of the thousands that came before because at least this one will give you more of a taster of what we should expect.  I haven't done a single review until now because, 1). I only started doing trailer reviews late last year.  2). This film is essentially two years old and I'm sure it was announced 6 years ago.  3). How do we even know it's going to come out on the 28th August 2020?  This movie has been through it and they are really starting to hype it up so I take it, they are more concrete than ever right now?  Te Disney acquisition of Fox and all their movie properties has put a lot of their projects in a weird place and this movie was definitely one of them.  At one point, it seemed likely that they would drop the movie on Disney Plus, but at this rate, it IS a matter of, people want to see what kind of sh*tshow this movie is, IF it is even that, because of all the delays etc.  I mean it has promise to be actually decent but with all the delays, people are either disinterested becaue of the delays or they simply just don't care for it.  What I will say is, there is a bunch of curious people who will go to see this to see if, a). It Stinks. b). If it was any good in the first place and if it really should have been released on Disney Plus or scrapped and c). IF the movie will somehow connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  I can bet money that there WILL be people waiting after the credits have started rolling looking for a connectivity nugget.
TWO years ago! Even in some of their recent trailer clips, they are mocking themselves at this point, 13th April 2018, 22nd February 2019, 2nd August 2019, 3rd April 2020, but 28th August 2020 seems to be the date...well we shall see.

For the most part, I do believe Kevin Feige has a few drafts of the script for Doctor Strange II and he will be watching closely for the feedback of this movie and judge whether how dark and scary he will take the sequel because it seems as though Scott Derrickson came off the project because perhaps, he was taking it too dark!?!  This trailer and what is happening in the movie from the clips I've seen look really good.  Demon Bear is trying to stalk and/or kill one of the characters so the characters must band together to defeat him, simplistic but decent.  A little like Stranger Things but with Mutants.  We shall see IF it actually comes out and how good it really is.

Directed by Josh Boone and starring Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga,

(trailer review) - Death on the Nile

I remember seeing the trailer for 'Death on the Orient Express' and for the most part, I was somewhat interested in it.  It wasn't a moving mountains to go and see it kind of movie for me but I would have liked to have seen it in the cinema but I just didn't get around to seeing it.  For this trailer, I do feel the same as the first movie but seeing Letitia Wright aka Shuri (Black Panther) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) in a movie together with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders is an absolute madness to me.

Kenneth must know the two latter ladies personally because French and Saunders (It used to be a British TV show back in the day) are definitely two comedic ladies he has certainly pulled from obscurity because I haven't seen them in ANYTHING recently.  Russell Brand was totally unrecognisable and to have Rose Leslie aka 'You Know Nothing Jon Snow' also featured, the talent alone has more than peaked my interest, it's just that, in this climate now, when will we be seeing it?

I loved Knives Out as it was funny and very entertaining and having not seen Murder on the Orient Express, but I was interested, I will definitely watch that first to help me make up my mind about watching this one.  I did hear good reviews but, I'll ultimately be the judge of that.  I mean, Kenneth did direct Artimis Fowl...

Directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, Letitia Wright
