(trailer review) - The Courier

I like Benedict Cumberbatch as an actor.  I believe he is one of those talented actors who can disappear into a role and become the character.  A bit like Johnny Depp in a 'Pirates' or any movie involving Tim Burton.  However he has reached a level of stardom that makes him stand out a bit as Benedict Cumberbatch, just a little, for me anyway.  I like that he can take side-roles and doesn't need to be the leading character and for me, this is where he can disappear and become unrecognisable because you didn't realise he was there in the first place.  An example.of this would be 1917.

As Benedict is starring in this movie, you will know it's him obviously, but he looks really good.  From starring as Doctor Strange to now a random salesman doing spy-work for the British intelligence, this guy is multifaceted and this movie looks intense.  Sure he has also played a dragon and a Demonic Demon...lol

I had no idea this movie was coming out as I never heard of it.  Upon watching the trailer, I did get some thoughts that, this guy he is playing is not going to make it home alive as they will throw him under the bus.  Or maybe he will make it through as an extraordinary take.  I don't know the history and I will not look it up in fears of spoiling the story for me, but this does look like a very interesting watch, especially as it's based on true events.

Directed by Dominic Cooke and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Merab Ninidze, Rachel Brosnahan, Jessie Buckley, Angus Wright
