(trailer review) - Dune: Part 2

If you have seen and read my Dune review, it goes without saying that I found the first film phenomenal. Everything about the movie was great. A masterpiece even. I quote "If there is anything you need to know about this movie before making a commitment to watching it, is that you MUST see this in the cinema! Yes a little long-ish, but I don't think a small screen is going to capture the vastness, the quality, the depth, the detail, the EVERYTHING, in this movie.  Denis put his elbow and foot into this movie because the visuals are stunning.  The world is soo realised, the architecture, the vehicles, the costumes, everything looks great and distinctive" and this trailer simply echoes my sentiments. When the first film had finished, the film alluded to a bigger story as if the story had just begun and I wanted more. I wanted more of the excellence that Denis was giving us, so part 2 could not come any sooner.

This trailer, while it seems to centre on a manouvre, we get to see a little more Zendeya, some old characters and a lot of new characters joining what looks like the beginning of the War for Arrakis. My only real grip with this trailer, two in fact, is why show the manouvre? Could we not have left that for the movie? and secondly, a character was shown in this trailer and while I witnessed what happened in the first movie, I am wondering if they could have left the character out. With that said, they did leave another character out and I am hoping that character comes back from the events of the first movie as it would give that character even more weight considering their skill. I guess one more thing that annoys me about this trailer, is that I want to see the movie now, so now I have to go and find a way to watch the excellent original again while I wait until this is released. And just before I sign off, the design, the visuals. There is a reason as to why Dune was nominated for 10 academy awards and won 6, among the many other awards. All the awards. I can't wait.

(trailer review) - Top Boy: Season 3 (Season 5)

Just to be clear if you have not seen my Top Boy Season 2 review, I have previously explained that if we include both seasons of Top Boy Summer House, we are now looking at season 5 of this magnificent TV show. We have come a long way to come to this point and since we are in the last season, I do not see this ending well for anybody.

Although this is a teaser trailer, with Sully saying he would rather be a monster than food, tells me that this season is going to be dark, gritty with heartbreak, loss, and vengeance among other things. It will be interesting to see if any of Jamie's family will be heavily involved and Sully will be the number one target with maybe Dushane coming to his defence, maybe? I do not know, but I am involved, patiently waiting on the first trailer.

(trailer review) - The Equalizer 3

"Do I look like a killer?"

It is at this point in life, no matter who you are, providing you have watched at least 8 movies with Denzel Washington, he is Uncle Denzel. Uncle Denz. Unc Denz. He has been doing his thing for a while and Denzel has always been great. From time to time, you might see a dud movie, but Denzel always delivers, he has always been excellent. Strangely enough, I remember seeing The Equalizer 2 trailer but I just did not get around to seeing the movie. However, this trailer looks great and I would like to know, while this is the final film, could we get more?

This trailer looks solid. I remember watching the first movie and thought, the thinking about the moves before he does them was great. It's cool. It's calculated. It tells you everything about Denzel's character, who is the kind of person who steps into the lion's den and does not even try to sweat as he knows exactly how he will take out the lion once he is inside, but will only step inside if absolutely necessary. Scope out the threat, figure out how you are going to take them out and bish, bash, bosh, everyone is either dead or maimed or both. However, whilst that last scene was great to watch, realistically, the guy with the shotgun would have shot him, no? Anyway, I can not wait. Let me go and find the prequel to this trailer's movie so I can gear myself up for this one.
