(trailer review) - Riders of Justice

There are not many people who enjoy or watch foreign or subtitle films.  I'm not claiming to be one of them but I'm not put-off by them at all, but in truth, I would prefer a non-subtitled movie as I'm a slow reader...lol.  With that said, the more you watch subtitled movies, sometimes you can get the gist and the story just by the body language and the performances without having to know each word said and it can be somewhat refreshing an experience. This trailer for example, from the visuals alone, you can tell this man is looking for something/someone, possibly out for revenge and it is due to an incident on a train involving his family.  This trailer looks good as well as having some great comedic moments and Mads is a great actor.  I've never really known him from anything really, other than Doctor Strange and Star Wars: Rogue One, but a lot of people know who he is.  It is also nice to see an English speaking actor doing other work in a different language, Danish.

(trailer review) - The Tomorrow War

The music is pants! The music provides a level of epicness but it doesn't do enough for the trailer because the trailer is too short and the epicness is not felt. 50 seconds!  Yes it is a teaser trailer but, maybe with the official trailer, Amazon will have me fully involved with the quality music providing that necessary umph we need. The film looks good. Mankind travelling to the future to fight a war with an unknown alien species...sounds wild. Would be even more wild if the unknown alien species came from further in the future and were humans that had turned into what they are and have to travel back in time to try and stop it from happening but end up in a war...lol. Either way, colour me intrigued. Besides, who doesn't like Pratt? Directed by  Chris McKay and starring Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, J. K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Sam Richardson & Keith Powers You can comment down below to enter in discussions. Thank yo

(trailer review) - Luca

First of all, there was a teaser trailer for this not soo long ago and for whatever reason, I didn't review it! I specifically remember telling myself that I must review it, because I saw it, but I guess among many distractions or simply because the trailer  didn't grab me, I didn't end up doing it. With that said, it goes without saying that I liked this one, right? This trailer had me anxious though. Two fishmen, mermen maybe? want to experience life on land than their natural habitat, the sea and they meet a girl and go on an adventure of sorts? Who knows until the next trailer is dropped, but I kept thinking throughout this trailer, theses guys are going to get caught which left me a little on edge. They are by the sea and any type of water makes them change! ...let's just hope things do not get too intense and start sweating. It looks decent. I'm up for it! Directed by  Enrico Casarosa and starring Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, Emma Berman, Marco Barricell

(trailer review) - Werewolves Within

Can we just come to an agreement that Sam Richardson looks very similar to David Oyelowo or am I alone on this island of mine.  Anyway, Ubisoft are known to me by their computer games, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, Rayman, Assassin's Creed, but movies is a new thing for them and that's very interesting.  They previously did the Assassin's Creed film for $130 million and it grossed $240.7 million which isn't bad at all, but the film was known to be trash. This on the other hand looks pretty decent and might actually do what it says on the tin, well. From the trailer, I get a Knives Out feel, low budget but quirky comedy horror that is shot very well even though the story might be lacking.  A small town with outrageous characters who seem to be friendly and fun and a Werewolf that seems to be lurking among them.  Plus the music is great as it slowly builds towards the end. Directed by  Josh Ruben and starring Sam Richardson, Milana Vayntrub, George Basil, Sarah Burns, Catherine Cu

(trailer review) - West Side Story

When I was watching this trailer, I was thinking to myself, "what was the last Spielberg movie I have seen?" and I came to the conclusion that it was Ready Player One.  That movie came out in 2018 and I really enjoyed that movie and now that it is on Netflix, I've put it on a few times since.  I also wondered what the last sing-song movie was I watched and I'm not actually sure as I'm not heavily into musicals.  It might have been Blue Story if I'm honest and that was really good.  As for West Side Story, I have not seen the original although I have heard great things.  Considering Spielberg does not flop much, I imagine this to be a really good movie. I like this trailer, a lot.  The imagery.  The shots.  I really like the two groups walking towards each other creating those shadows.  The colours are sooo vibrant and the bit where you see the women in yellow running in the streets look great.  I think another trailer will fully sell me on it, but so far, I am

(film review) - Mortal Kombat

It's interesting, I am a "gamer" (I say that loosely because trying to find time to play games is limited) and when I can, I'll turn on the ol' Xbox and play something.  I remember my first console in fact, it was a Nintendo and I could see the console's box through the Argos bag my mum was carrying as it was a birthday present.  I was sooo happy.  I remember when I first played Mortal Kombat for the first time.  I'm pretty sure I bought it first hand (as I did buy a lot of second hand games when I was younger) and I thought the game looked a little weird.  The graphics were nothing like anything I'd seen in a fighting game before, but eventually, after Mortal Kombat II and Mortal Kombat 3, I was slightly, a fan...but I did prefer Street Fighter.  You see back then, it was either Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat (because there always has to be a one or the other with these things, you know...lol), but I never really got into the lore of MK although I re

(series review) [STREAMING] - The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

If you haven't watched my reviews of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier LEGEND trailers, I will give you a small brief of the two main characters.  The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are both Captain America's friend from two different times in history.  The Winter Soldier dates back to when Steve Rogers first joined the Army and The Falcon dates back to when Steve Rogers first becomes a Avenger.  At the end of the movie Avenger's Endgame [ SPOILER ALERT!!! ] Steve Rogers gives Sam Wilson his iconic Shield...and from that point, this is where the shows pics up from. This is essentially a 6 hour movie broken down into episodic chunks that picks up after the events of Endgame and where having now come back, fighting a huge war, the mourning of the loss of a friend/teammate, The Avengers have essentially disbanded and The Falcon is back in the Army on special missions.  Sam Wilson, now with Captain America's shield believes the only way to honour Steve Rogers and the Shield

(trailer review) - The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

It's funny.  I'm not someone who could be easily scared, frightened or startled and for the most part, I'll watch scary movies, but I do draw the line at some things.  Possession movies and ones based on a true story.  If it has harpy-music, you can drop me right out, I'm not a fan, but other than that, I'm pretty much cool with most.  I have Paranormal Activity on this site and I also have IT, Carrie, Wolfman and Friend Request, so I'm not that bad, but I do not run out in a hurry wanting to see them like I would with a sci-fi or comic book movie.  With that said, this trailer looks wild!!! I've been meaning to take on The Conjuring when it came out in 2013 and the sequels since so this one, the third likes really good to me.  The parts in the trailer I liked the most was the intro as it brings intrigue, but the part with the water bed and the child, the part in the woods with the woman, the part with the little boy unfolding himself and the end part with t

Red Band Trailer - Please note adult themed material. ( Official Trailer ) Red Band Trailer Let's have a moment to fully digest this trailer. It is the opening 7 minutes to a film, just like what they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where that was 5 minutes they released before the movie.  In Mortal Kombat lore, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are two mortal enemies that have had beef for centuries and I'm not sure how it started or the reasons as to why man would just turn up at your home like that ending your bloodline, killing your wife and child, but I understand. Imagine being moments away and hearing the screams of your wife only to run back and find her and your son dead knowing maybe you could have saved them you are likely going to go to town murdering them all until you get to Boss Man himself, Sub-Zero. Yeaaaaah, I'm watching this. That's all. Directed by  Simon McQuoid and starring Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, L

(trailer review) - Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Disney are simply killing it.  Quality after quality after quality.  And in this case diversity.  Just like Black Panther was with an all Black cast bar a couple non-black, this seems to be the same and right in my wheel house! Are you mad?!!! Martial Arts movies!!! Martial arts movies and 'House of Flying Daggers' jumping/flying through the air and the wind blowing through the clothes sound, I'm soo on board.  I had no clue what this film was going to be like as we were told, some kind of tournament and like an authentic martial arts movie...and they don't seem to be lying.  This is just the teaser, so I can't wait to see the official trailer as that is going to be bonkers, I can feel it. Directed by  Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Fala Chen, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, Ronny Chieng, Michelle Yeoh. (trailer review) - The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

(Red Band Teaser)  Red Band Trailer - Please note adult themed material. ( Teaser Trailer ) Is it wild of me to think that Red Band trailers are now the new craze? I feel like I haven't seen one in soo long and in the space of a few weeks, there has been three! This isn't a complaint at all, I don't mind them, it just feels new. However, unlike The Suicide Squad trailer, this trailer isn't drastically different from the other trailer as it shows a few more bits and introduces the swearing rather than allude to it in places, so I wasn't really wow'ed by the trailer at all.  I do feel that maybe this trailer should have came first if they were going to do a red band one because this one is somewhat lacklustre.  At least The Suicide Squad gave us a completely different trailer for both their red band and non-red band trailer.  I'm just saying it didn't move the needle for me much at all.  In fact, it might have moved it slightly negatively.  I don't kno

(trailer review) - Fast and Furious 9

(Official Trailer 2) ( Full Trailer ) ( Teaser Trailer ) WOW, just WOW!!! It is possible, that a film which was meant to come out last year and people were hyped about it until they pushed it an entire year, it would seem as though the studio decided to "go ham" and actually put EVERYTHING in the trailer.  In my last review I said, "I mean, ok, they don't seem to be going to space like everyone thought, but what did they NOT put in this trailer!"  But hold up, it looks like they ARE going to space and they have actually put EVERYTHING in the trailer...Han as well. I'm actually lost for words, really I am.  And it's not because they've put everything in this trailer, but how long is this movie? Magnetic cars, Flying Cars and a guy's body getting wrapped around a tree.  For a while the F&F franchise has been playing into it's craziness for a minute, but damn, have they gone too far?  To be honest, it's fast cars, brawls and the odd &quo

(trailer review) - Army of the Dead

( Official Teaser ) "Let's see another trailer, but I'm definitely in."  That was the last thing I said when I was reviewing the teaser trailer and here we are, another trailer and this trailer is good! It seems to me we get a better understanding of what is going on here.  Some ex-soldiers are pulled together to do a casino heist during some kind of pandemic (maybe), but then he crew are met with intelligent zombies and they will need to fight their way through the hundreds of thousands of zombies to escape with the money and their lives.  Sign me up because this looks fun.  The part where he is trying to swing at the zombie and the zombie is dodging the punches, wow! To be honest you had me at Zack Snyder, so it would be interesting to see the reception this Netflix movie gets as it seems Zacks name is very hot topic right now and WB are acting out! Directed By  Zack Snyder and starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Tig Notaro, Huma Qur

(trailer review) - The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

First of all, the name of this is stupid, but considering how comical this film seems to be AND like the original (or first one, The Hitman's Bodyguard), we are obviously going with the same comedic capers with Ryan's character as before. The premise of this is funny.  The Hitman's Bodyguard is assigned unwillingly to protect the wife of the hitman, becoming her bodyguard to help save the hitman whilst trying to refrain from shooting, killing or doing anything he would normally do as a bodyguard, "No Guns, No Killing and No Blood".  Suffering from some type of PTSD and stress from his job as a hitman, antics ensue...lol.  "A child would be soo happy to have you as it's host" LOL! I'm definitely interested especially as the first one was decent too. Directed by  Patrick Hughes and starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Frank Grillo, Richard E. Grant, Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman You can comment down below to enter in discus

(trailer review) - The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

(Mid-Season Trailer) ( Friends Trailer ) ( Final Trailer ) ( Exclusive Clip ) ( Official Trailer ) ( First Look Trailer ) As a Hip-Hop fan and how hyped this trailer got me (not like I'm not already watching the show), the quote "Now I got you gassed on super unleaded fuels" - Busta Rhymes, comes to mind. I wasn't going to keep doing trailer reviews for the same content, I wasn't.  I thought, 3-4 MAX because maybe people wouldn't want to read what I'm thinking when I see yet another trailer for the same show, but Disney...Disney have me beat. Having been watching The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, although it has some quiet moments, the action is great and very high octane.  This trailer is definitely explosive and packs enough action and content without spoiling "much" to get you interested in watching this show if you haven't already.  If you are not big on the Superhero stuff but liked Black Panther, there is a reason to watch it.  If you

(series review) [STREAMING] - Marvel Studios: Legends - "Sharon Carter"

These short reels are 6-7 minutes of excellent footage and storytelling. Please note:  this review may have mild spoilers as this docuseries acts as a "catch-up", reminder and/or telling of a characters' inception in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until now in phase 4 collated in 6-7 minutes. In case you haven't seen a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie before, any or a couple, this is 7 glorious minutes cleverly cut from multiple films that act as a highlight reel of a character's journey or backstory through the MCU into Phase 4.  Extremely important if you want to learn about a character before heading into DisneyPlus's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, starring The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with supporting cast. Being the niece of the legendary S.H.I.E.L.D Agent, Agent Peggy Carter, is possibly the reason why Sharon ended up living a double life as Kate, Steve Roger's neighbour and Agent 13 of the S.H.E.I.L.D  Special Service team only known to tho

(trailer review) - Jupiter's Legacy

Netflix seem to be gearing up to fight.  They have their Vaseline out, their spit bucket ready and these quick jabs and uppercuts for their warm-up is an obvious nod to them stating, they have been here, they were here and they are not going down without a fight.  "What do you mean?" I hear you ask.  Well, Netflix IS king of the digital streaming services (according to Tom's guide ) and right behind it is HBO Max and Disney Plus, with them launching 27th May 2020 and 12th November 2019 respectively.  But being soo long in the game and also having "borrowed" or "rented" content over the years, especially from Disney and these have now been taken back, Netflix are forced to provide more original content and Jupiter's Legacy is just that. While we are being over saturated with Superhero shows, this genre is what people want to watch, like Amazon's The Boys or Disney Plus' new MCU TV content.  And although the Mouse house has very deep pockets

(trailer review) - Those who wish me Dead

I don't know what it is, but for whatever reasons, I thought Angelina Jolie was no longer acting or doing a film a year or something.  I have no idea why I thought that, but seeing her here was quite refreshing if I'm honest.  I'm looking forward to the MCU's Eternals movie with her and Jon Snow.  I'm just sat here like everyone else waiting patiently for a trailer. Patiently waiting patiently. However, this trailer looks good.  The cast is incredible, from Nicholas Hoult, Jon Bernthal, Tyler Perry and Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, I mean Aidan Gillen.  I have no idea what it is about other than, forest fires, it seems and that people are out to kill a little boy.  Seemed a little boring at first but the suspense and survival thriller of it all grabbed me immediately.  Besides, the director Taylor Sheridan is the writer behind Sicario, Hell or High Water, Sicario: Day of the Soldado and the up and coming Michael B. Jordan movie, Without Remorse and that lo

(trailer review) - Ghostbusters: Afterlife

( Official Trailer ) I feel like 17 trailers came out in the last two days and I'm out here like a Ghostbuster trying to catch these slippery things.  All jokes aside, I saw thumbnails for this clip and I thought it was an actual trailer, but it's a clip with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in it and the first thing I thought was..."wow, that's clever...they found a way to make even more toys out of the Ghostbusters franchise".  It reminded me of Minions, from the movie Despicable Me, because anything PG means toy sales, you know? Or maybe you didn't, so if that is the case, the very reason characters in a franchise get new uniforms (think Avengers), is to sell toy figures.  I'm not mad at it, make that money.  However, these Marshmallow men are cute and the bit of them cooking themselves are hilarious.  Now I want a toasted marshmallow, subliminal messaging? What would also be genius, is if they sold them at the theatres/cinemas, special packs to consume wh

(trailer review) - Loki

( Exclusive Clip ) We are currently sitting on another trailer for what some might argue, the most anticipated show from the MCU.  It wasn't long ago when I said, there wasn't anybody who was excited for the WandaVision TV show.  I'd say (only due to the action), that there were a considerable amount of people who were excited for 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' TV show, but Loki is such a beloved character!  His interactions with Thor and his interactions with others are hilarious.  Such an untrustworthy and mischievous person, fans simply love to hate this character, so having his own show, is something to grant Loki fans some more Loki and rejoice in happiness. This trailer looks great though!  I feel the first teaser trailer popped for me just a little bit more than this one, but I liked this trailer simply because it showed a bit more of what is going on (the story element) and what will will be getting and of course, Gugu Mbatha-Raw from the Black Mirror e

(trailer review) - The Suicide Squad

( Red Band Trailer )  Red Band Trailer - Please note adult themed material. So this is officially the first trailer...officially! The one before was a Red Band Trailer which means, not for kiddies. Blood, gore, profanity etc and this one is absent of all of that.  This one is the Rebellion Trailer and it's good! Amanda Waller is back with her squad of people she will send out there to do something very dangerous as they are seen as expendable people and if I'm honest, this trailer looks infinitely better than the other Suicide Squad film.  With the addition of Idris Elba, John Cena and Sylvester Stallone is enough to have me running to the cinema to watch, not to mention, directed by James Gunn of Guardian's of the Galaxy fame from the MCU, just...don't sit too close and we can all enjoy the film together.  This year is gonna be stacked and with great content. Directed by  James Gunn and starring Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, V

(trailer review) - Space Jam: A New Legacy

As I type this and think about if I have watched the Michael Jordan Space Jam movie from back in the day, I struggle to come up with an answer.  I definitely feel like I have, but we are talking about a film from 1996 and it is very possible that, I just didn't care for it.  What I do remember from that time and surrounding that film, was the "Hit 'em High (The Monstars' Anthem)" a song by B-Real, Busta Rhymes, Coolio, LL Cool J and Method Man, and the double Grammy winning song "I Believe I Can Fly" by the man who shall not be named.  That song is soo well known and IS a great song, but I am a Hip-Hop guy, anyway, moving on.  So, I can't really speak to how great or not-so-great that movie was beacause I simply don't remember it, but this trailer did in fact make me smile by the end. Your favourite Looney Tunes from WB are back including Lola Bunny, but this trailer definitely gave me a 'Ready Player One' feel with all the different Hann

(trailer review) - Black Widow

(New Trailer) ( Final Trailer ) ( Big Game Spot Trailer ) ( Original Trailer ) About a year ago or so, we were given a trailer for the second movie in phase 4.  Arguably a movie we possibly should have had several years ago about Black Widow but I guess, after the events of Avengers: Endgame, it would be interesting to to know or get to know a bit of her backstory and if there is anything else story-wise that will carry forward in the franchise and to also push the story along. So considering the pandemic has delayed this movie a year and Disney has got the ball rolling with 'WandaVision' and now 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', it seems the cogs are turning and there is no stopping the machine that will make or are trying to make the millions and billions it was making before the worldwide pandemic hit. This trailer has a lot of new scenes and surprisingly enough, still doesn't give away much of the storyline although it has been a year of predictions. Directed

(film review) [STREAMING] - Raya and the Last Dragon

Pronounced "Rye-ah".  I had been calling it Ray-Ah because, well I'm English and I say things the wrong way all the time because, English...lol.  Anyway, when I saw this trailer, I thought to myself, "I haven't seen a decent cartoon movie from Disney in a little while".  It would have been Toy Story 4 but the last Disney cartoon movie I watched was Soul... and before that, The Lion King then Toy Story 4.  But although I really enjoyed Soul, I feel I had a slightly better time with Toy Story 4 because I knew the characters, the story was great and it has stuck with me since seeing it, as in, it is more memorable and funny.  It was just a great cartoon.  Considering Toy Story has been going on for years, it really hasn't lost it's step.  With Soul, although I enjoyed the story and the meaning, it was really good, but seeing a black guy as a cat through majority of the film couldn't let me resonate with it as much as I would have liked to looking ba

(series review) [STREAMING] - Marvel Studios: Legends - "Zemo"

(trailer review) - Wrath of Man

I had no idea whatsoever that man like Guy Ritchie was doing another movie that was NOT 'Man from U.N.C.L.E' or 'Sherlock Holmes 3'.  That said, I had a gander on Wikipedia and he is actually filming another movie currently called 'Five Eyes'.  Talk about being busy!  The last movie I saw of his was 'The Gentleman' and that was a great movie, I loved it, a wonderful return to form.  Before that was Aladdin and I enjoyed that too, so let's hope Guy is back in his stride of directing top notch films and hopefully he will get back to the first two films I mentioned. As for this trailer, I really enjoyed it and although there wasn't really much to it than Jason Statham going around shooting people and either killing or incapacitating them with one bullet, this revenge quest might be generic, but it's Jason Statham, you know.  This is John Wick with a child, no? Sometimes the simplest formula can be the best and it does help having a great Directo
