(trailer review) - Deadpool and Wolverine

(TEASER TRAILER

So trailer two is here and Marvel did not hold back. It was mentioned that Kevin Feige said the Deadpool sequel would be the only Rated R movie from Disney. That he would not tamper with the Deadpool formula at all. But then the fans of the MCU, across the world looked at each other in disbelief and some even screamed out "Marvel is going to ruin Deadpool", "Marvel is going to ruin the ending of Logan". So with that teaser trailer they showed, they wanted to let people know, they were not holding back, other than holding back Wolverine of course. As I stated in my first review "...this movie is not for kids, and I love it!". But this trailer, on the other hand, wow, just wow. Definitely not for kids, especially as there were so many "F-Bombs" before the trailer even started properly telling us (the audience), that Kevin has indeed kept his world.

This trailer starts with Wolverine at a bar as usual and Deadpool comes in to take him somewhere. I am guessing a fight ensues pretty much immediately because, if this trailer has shown us anything other than a bunch of swear words, is that Wade and Logan are fighting for the majority of it and the easter eggs are plenty. There are a few characters you can see, albeit small and no real close-ups. There is an Ant-Man or Giant Man head which is similar to the Ant-Man/Giant Man in the Old Man Logan Novel (if you read that comic [the novel 'Logan' was loosely based on] you see the skeleton of a dead giant man in the Ant-Man outfit). You can see Alioth from the Loki TV series (somewhat fitting due to the TVA being involved), the reference to Rob's feet drawings from the comics, 20th Century Fox in ruins as if it has been pruned and not only do we see them eventually team up, but the Mad Max reference and the Red Skull's car. This looks like it is going to be very funny with layers upon layers of easter eggs in the end movie. One of the best parts for me in this trailer which had me crying with laughter, was the different slang terms for cocaine. I mean, is 'White Girl Interrupted' real? It cannot be! The music too!? Deadpool is a virgin to the MCU. Not to sound like a broken record Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and High Jackman is Wolverine. I am happy they have not spoiled the trailer with lots of Cameos and I hope there are none in future trailers but even if they do show some, I feel that would not even scratch the surface of what they have in store for us. Maybe this movie will knock the MCU out of its slump.
