Warner Bros. are literally out here trying to control the narrative and stop people hashtagging #ReleaseTheAyerCut and #ReleaseTheSnyderCut by distracting them with a traiker for #TheSuicideSquad. While those hashtags are still on Twitter, The Suicide Squad is definitely making moves and trending. And why, not? I loved it!
James Gunn was brought on to direct 'The Suicide Squad' because he was fired from Disney/Marvel when someone found over a decade old bunch of tweets from him ("Cancel Culture") and they were obviously horrible. WB thought, "Well he is a great Director, let's snap him up" and they did. And here we are and it looks great. The best bits in this trailer for me is Harley Quinn saying she can go back in as they were attempting to rescue her and when Peacemaker says he doesn't know why bad guys do the things they do. Two moments I found absolutely hilarious.
It looks like great banter and I'm here for all of it...especially the gore. I'm just wondering if it is going to stay as an 'R-Rated' movie. We need some more trailers.
